Phase 2:

Creation

Phase 2 of re:imagine runs from September 2024 to August 2025. Venues supporting Phase 2 workshops and meetings include the Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA) and the Saabat Art Gallery.

Phase 2 of the re:imagine project builds on the outcomes from Phase 1 workshops and reflective practice, and develops a visual language to reimagine adverse life experiences.

The re:imagine creative associates will collaborate with creative partners to examine approaches for making art, and to identify what is required to initiate, develop, and establish creative practice within the creative industries.

Our re:imagine creative associates will also be tasked with sourcing, and managing, a funded community studio space for this phase of re:imagine. The space will be used throughout the remainder of their re:imagine journey as a base to develop their individual and collective art practice, and to plan a short programme of public engagement activities in readiness for Phase 3.

The Phase 2 workshop will take place in 2024 at the Saabat Art Gallery, 83 Normanby Road, South Bank, Middlesbrough. TS6 6SA.
